Herren Goes Yard, Breaks OHSAA Record

Abigail Herren is rewriting the record books. The Centerburg senior set a new OHSAA single-season home run record on May 15, launching her 24th of the year during a conference matchup against Loudonville. The milestone puts her alone at the top in Ohio history, capping off a dominant season at the plate.

Herren’s historic run may not be finished just yet. She’ll have a chance to extend her record Monday night when Centerburg faces North Union in a district semifinal matchup, giving her another opportunity to add to an already unforgettable season.
