The Mount Vernon Farmers Market is getting ready to extend its season into the holidays with the return of the Mount Vernon Holiday Market.
The Holiday Market will be held on six Saturdays — November 7, 14 and 21, and December 5, 12 and 19 — from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 405 West Chestnut Street, next to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
Shoppers will be able to find many of the products typically offered at the farmers market, including locally grown vegetables, baked goods, meat, eggs and honey. Vendors will also offer locally made crafts, personal-care products and holiday gifts, giving shoppers an opportunity to support local businesses and makers during the holiday season.
The market is currently accepting applications from vendors. Organizers say space is limited, and vendors can apply through ManageMyMarket.com. Questions about participating can be directed to Holiday Market Coordinator Kate Tingley by email at Farmersmarketmountvernon@gmail.com.
The regular Mount Vernon Farmers Market will continue operating outdoors on the Public Square each Saturday through October 31.
Organizers say both markets are intended to provide residents with access to healthy, local products while supporting the local economy.
