Motorcycles, food trucks, live music and family activities will take over downtown Mount Vernon next month as the Junction Moto Show and Food Truck Festival returns to the Public Square.
The free community event is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the Public Square and South Main Street. The event is hosted by Knox Foodies, LLC and Boxcar Creative Co.
Formerly known as the Knox Foodies Food Truck Festival, the event is entering its seventh year with an expanded focus on motorcycles. Organizers added a free ride-in motorcycle show to the festival in 2025, and following the response to that addition, the event has been rebranded as the Junction Moto Show and Food Truck Festival.
Hundreds of riders are expected to participate, with the motorcycle show open to all styles and models, including vintage Harley-Davidsons, custom choppers, dirt bikes, café racers and mini bikes. Registration is free, and more than $6,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded across multiple classes, including Best in Show.
The festival will also feature several new attractions this year. The Mini Moto Kidz Zone, sponsored by Mid Ohio Powersports, will include a Kids 12 and Under motorcycle class, with a chance to win a $250 gift card. Children can also take part in face painting, yard games and a motorcycle-themed photo booth, along with activities hosted by the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County, PAK United and other community partners.
An artisan market will also be set up on the square featuring local artists and small businesses. Festivalgoers will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite food truck in the event’s first Best Food Truck competition.
The Buckeye Motorcycle Club will also debut a mini museum exhibit inside the Mount Vernon Grand Hotel. The exhibit will feature memorabilia from the historic A.D. Farrow Harley-Davidson dealership, dating back to 1914.
Live music throughout Sunday’s festival will include Sins on Skin, One Number Off, Bryant Smith, The Groove Bros. and Third Degree. A wide selection of food trucks will also be available, including The Real Deal Grill, Dreia’s Kitchen, Schmidt’s Sausage Truck, Tacomania, Korean BBQ, Cousins Maine Lobster, Big Back Burgers, Texas Steele BBQ and others.
The Junction Moto Show and Food Truck Festival is also part of the Biketoberfest weekend hosted by the Knox County Convention and Visitors Bureau, running October 2 through 4. The weekend will include motorcycle swap meets, live music and other events around Mount Vernon.
