A 19-year-old Mansfield man has been indicted on attempted murder and felonious assault charges following an altercation at a commercial establishment on Springmill Street.
The Richland County Prosecutor’s Office released more than 80 indictments this week. Prosecutors say the cases include a large number of drug-related charges involving cocaine and fentanyl, along with cases involving assault, offenses involving minors and attempted murder.
The attempted murder case involves Dominick Crose, who prosecutors say was involved in an altercation in March.
Richland County Prosecutor Jodie Schumacher said the incident began when a person entered the business and appeared to be there for normal business before being approached by the suspect.
Crose faces charges of attempted murder and felonious assault. The case will proceed through Richland County Common Pleas Court.
As with all criminal charges, the allegations contained in an indictment are not evidence of guilt, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
