The Knox County Community Health Center has received two new recognition badges from the federal Health Resources and Services Administration.
The health center was recognized for Advancing Health Information Technology for Quality and as a National Quality Leader in Behavioral Health.
According to Knox Public Health, the recognitions reflect the health center’s work to provide coordinated, accessible and patient-centered care to residents.
The HRSA badges are part of the agency’s recognition system for health centers that demonstrate achievements in specific areas of care and quality improvement.
The Knox County Community Health Center operates alongside Knox Public Health on Upper Gilchrist Road in Mount Vernon, providing health services to residents throughout the county.
The new recognitions add to the health center’s recent quality-related accomplishments as it continues expanding services for Knox County residents.
