WARMING CENTER INFORMATION

The Licking County Health Department is included in a partnership between local agencies and organizations known as the Licking County Emergency Warming Center Task Force. The task force aims to coordinate and establish warming centers in Licking County for individuals who are in need of a warm and safe place to temporarily shelter on extremely cold days or nights during the winter.

The Licking County Emergency Warming Center Task Force announces the opening of a warming center for anyone who is seeking a place to get out of the cold.
Warming Center Hours:Wednesday (1/8/25) from 5:30pm to 8:30am Thursday (1/9/25)Thursday (1/9/25) from 5:30pm to 8:30am Friday (1/10/25)Friday (1/10/25) from 5:30pm to 8:30am Saturday (1/11/25)Location: Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 592 West Main Street – Newark, Ohio*Note: The Drop In Center at Holy Trinity will still hold their regular hours.
Licking Memorial Health Systems will provide evening meals and breakfast each day.
FREE transportation to the warming center will be provided by Licking County Transit.
A van will loop through these locations from 5:30-8:30pm on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings:Salvation Army-East Main StreetOhio Street/South 2nd StreetCourthouse Square near Licking County FoundationLicking County LibraryWomen’s Center on West Main Street
The same loop will be provided for morning transports.
