Union County: Crews making good progress with half of planned culvert replacements completed

Union County ODOT crews are making good progress on a series of culvert replacements along U.S. 36 between Marysville and the Delaware County line. Out of 14 planned culvert replacements, crews have completed 7 as of May 19. Work on the eighth culvert began today.

Each culvert location is planned for five days to complete, with crews beginning work on the next culvert as soon as they finish the previous one. This means that while the road is only closed at one location for five days, the full project is expected to be complete by mid-July. During this time all through traffic must detour.

It is important for motorists to obey all signs and traffic control devices. During the closure, traffic is being detoured via SR 257, U.S. 42, and U.S. 33.
