Three Injured in Ashland County Crash, Including Two Teens

Ashland County, OH – Three people, including two 17-year-olds, are recovering from injuries following a crash in Vermillion, Ashland County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at the intersection of State Route 511 and U.S. 30 when a Jeep carrying the two teenagers failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a pickup truck.

The 17-year-old female passenger in the Jeep sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Akron for treatment. The 17-year-old male driver of the Jeep, as well as the driver of the pickup truck, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. Motorists are urged to remain cautious at intersections and adhere to traffic signals to prevent similar accidents.
