WQIO Ohio's Super Station
The City of Delaware is announcing a short delay in the reopening of Central Avenue as part of the Point Improvement Project. The road was originally scheduled to reopen by September 6, but due to additional work needed on the water line in this area, the reopening is now expected by this Friday, September 12.
The contractor needs to finish connecting the new water line before paving the road. While this means keeping the road closed a few extra days, it avoids having to dig into brand-new pavement during the next phase of the project.
