KCCC Receives 5-Star Rating on State Report Card for Fourth Consecutive Year

The Knox County Career Center has received a 5-star rating on the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce’s 2025-2026 Career Technical Planning District Report Card.

The rating marks the fourth consecutive year the Knox County Career Technical Planning District, or CTPD, has received five out of five stars. According to KCCC, the rating indicates the district significantly exceeds state standards, and the district met 100 percent of its federal indicators — nine out of nine.

The CTPD report card combines data from KCCC High School and career technical programs offered through its six associate schools: Centerburg, Clear Fork, Danville, East Knox, Fredericktown and Mount Vernon. The data includes students enrolled in half-day career technical programs at KCCC as well as students taking career technical courses offered within their home schools.

KCCC received four stars in Achievement, with an 89.3-percent passage rate for Technical Skill Attainment.

The district earned five stars for its graduation rate. The four-year graduation rate was 98.7 percent, while the five-year graduation rate was 98.6 percent.

KCCC also received five stars for Career and Post-Secondary Readiness. Its rating in that category increased from 110.9 percent to 116.6 percent, with the district attributing continued improvement in part to increased participation in work-based learning opportunities, apprenticeships, internships and students earning 12-point industry credentials.

The district also received five stars for Post-Program Outcomes. The CTPD reported a 95.7-percent post-program placement rate, while KCCC High School reported a 96.1-percent placement rate.

KCCC Superintendent Kathy Greenich said the district is focused on preparing students for success through industry credentials, work experience and professional skills. She also credited teachers and staff and the district’s partnerships with Knox County’s associate schools.

The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce says its annual report cards are intended to provide information about student achievement, progress and future preparedness, with separate reporting systems for career-technical planning districts.

The results were released Sept. 21. A local report published Wednesday also confirmed KCCC’s fourth consecutive 5-star rating and 89.3-percent technical skill attainment rate.
