Mansfield Speedway is inviting families from across north central Ohio to celebrate Independence Day during the Freedom 250 Festival on Saturday, July 4.
The free event will run from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Mansfield Speedway, located at 400 Crall Road East, and is designed to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary with a full day of entertainment, competition and family-friendly activities.
Festival organizers say attendees can enjoy a variety of attractions throughout the day, including high school racing, OSTPA tractor pulls, a car show, the American Car Challenge and a hot dog eating contest. Live music, food trucks, face painting and children’s games will also be featured along the midway, offering activities for visitors of all ages.
The celebration will conclude with one of the largest fireworks displays of the summer, providing a patriotic finale to the day’s festivities.
Admission to the Freedom 250 Festival is free. Organizers note that camping will not be available for the event, but additional parking will be offered in the pit area to accommodate visitors.
The Freedom 250 Festival is one of several events taking place across north central Ohio as communities celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary with festivals, concerts, fireworks and family activities throughout the Independence Day holiday weekend.
