Frazeysburg gets hit hard with Severe Weather

SEVERE WEATHER OVERNIGHT BROUGHT DAMAGE TO A SOUTHEASTERN OHIO VILLAGE AND MAY THREATEN TO CANCEL AN ANNUAL EVENT.
A SUSPECTED TORNADO STRUCK THE VILLAGE OF FRAZEYSBURG IN MUSKINGHAM COUNTY NEAR ZANESVILLE OVERNIGHT. MUSKINGHAM COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SAYS SEVERAL PEOPLE WERE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL AND ONLINE PHOTOGRAPHS SHOW DOWNED TREES, POWER LINES AND PROPERTY DAMAGE. THE VILLAGE’S ANNUAL HOMECOMING FESTIVAL WAS SET TO KICKOFF TODAY. IT IS UNCLEAR WHETHER THE FESTIVAL WILL BE CANCELLED OR POSTPONED. COMMAND CENTRAL FOR CLEANUP AND RESCUE HAS BEEN SETUP AT THE FRAZEYSBURG FIRE STATION. THIS IS A DEVELOPING STORY AND MORE DETAILS ARE FORTHCOMING.
