Election Day is Tuesday

With Election Day just around the corner, Ohioans are gearing up to make important choices about the future of their state. As early voting continues, many residents have questions about voting requirements, assistance options, and what’s allowed at the polls. Here are some key reminders to ensure your Election Day experience goes smoothly.

ID Requirements for Voting

Ohio voters must present a valid photo ID to cast their ballot. Accepted forms of ID include:

  • A current Ohio driver’s license
  • A State of Ohio ID card
  • A U.S. passport
  • A military ID

If your driver’s license is expired, you’ll still be able to vote, but you’ll need to cast a provisional ballot, which may require additional verification.

Help at the Polls

Ohio law allows voters to bring someone along to help if they need assistance while voting. This could be a friend, family member, or another trusted individual to ensure you can comfortably cast your vote.
