The Mount Vernon Police Department Detective Division, assisted by the Patrol
Division, executed a search warrant at a Martinsburg Road residence. The warrant
stemmed from an ongoing investigation for possession of child pornography.
During the search of the residence evidence of child pornography, Detectives also
located over 100 grams of cocaine, LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, prescription pills, and
marijuana were located and seized. Additionally, Detectives seized a firearm and over
$10,000 in cash along with multiple items of drug paraphernalia that would be used for
the trafficking of drugs.
The suspect, Aaron K. Eldridge (66), was placed under arrest and transported to the
Knox County Jail without incident. Eldridge has been initially charged with Pandering
Sexually Orientated Material Involving a Minor (F-2) and Trafficking in Drugs (F-1).
Further charges may be forthcoming.
The Mount Vernon Police Department is a Member of the METRICH Drug Enforcement
Task Force.
On Monday Eldridge was indicted by the Grand Jury yesterday for 20 counts of F2 Illegal Use of a Minor in Nudity-Oriented Material (an F2 felony is good for 2-8 years in prison), F1 Trafficking in Cocaine (good for 3-11 years in prison) and F3 Weapons Under Disabilty (usually catches 30 months in prison).
