The City of Delaware has released its Popular Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024. The report provides residents and businesses with a clear, easy-to-read summary of the City’s financial performance, services, and use of public funds.
Prepared by the City’s Finance Department, the PAFR is designed to improve understanding of City finances by presenting key information in a user-friendly format. It highlights how the City allocates tax dollars, maintains infrastructure, and delivers essential services such as police and fire protection, parks, and road maintenance.
The financial data in the PAFR is drawn from the more detailed Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, which includes over 270 pages of financial statements.
“The PAFR is part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and public engagement,” said Finance Director Rachel Alger. “We hope residents find this report helpful in understanding how the City manages its resources.”
The 2024 PAFR follows the City’s 2023 edition, which earned the Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award from the Government Finance Officers Association.
