750 + tables of military items, relics, & memorabilia to buy, sell, or trade. WWI & II material from 1775 through 1945. CIVIL WAR history: learn about it – own a piece of it.
Special Features: Artillery & Civil War Cannon Firing Demonstrations. Civil War and WWII Living History Encampments show how soldiers lived during the war. WWII 801st Medical Air Evan Squadron Presentation quite a history lesson. Camp Chase Fife & Drum period music and 73rd OVI Regimental Band have top tapping tunes. President Abe Lincoln gives the Gettysburg address daily and greets guests.
Marlboro Volunteers Traveling Museum and Military Vehicles are a great learning experience.

Celebrate the Galactic Saga: The Downtown Mount Vernon Merchants Host “MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU“!
MOUNT VERNON, OHIO – Get ready to set out on an intergalactic adventure as Downtown Mount Vernon transforms
into a haven for all things Star Wars! Join us all day on May 4, 2024 as we celebrate the iconic saga that has captured
hearts across the galaxy.
The force will be strong in Downtown Mount Vernon on May 4th, as we invite fans of all ages to immerse themselves in a
universe filled with Jedi, Sith, droids, and more. Beginning at 12:00 PM, the streets will be alive with the sounds of
lightsabers clashing and droids beeping. Event attendees are encouraged to wear their best Jedi robes, Sith armor, or
droid disguises all day to be entered in drawings, receive discounts, and take pictures at the various selfie stations around
town.
Highlights of the event include:
● Kids’ Jedi Training from 12:00-4:00 PM: Embark on an epic journey to a galaxy far, far away with our Jedi
Training. Younglings and Padawans, ages 6-14, are invited to join us for an unforgettable experience where they
will learn the ways of the Force by completing the Five Jedi Trials: Trial of the Flesh, Trial of Courage, Trial of
Insight, Trial of Skill, and Trial of the Spirit. After completing all five, participants will receive their official Jedi
Medallion. A printable Jedi Training Map will be available in the May the Fourth Be With You event page.
● Galactic Market: Explore the bustling Downtown Mount Vernon shops and restaurants to enjoy specials,
discounts, trivia, and selfie stations all day.
● Lightsaber Training: Train to become a true master of the Lightsaber with training at Old Mr. Bailiwick’s. Learn
the art of combat and hone your skills under the guidance of experience Jedi Masters. Younglings and Padawans
welcome! Spaces are limited and pre-registration is required by contacting Old Mr. Bailiwick’s (740) 326-9093.
● Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA), 4:00-11:00 PM: Visit your favorite Downtown Cantina to enjoy
