Join us every first Friday beginning at 5:00pm in historic downtown Mansfield for the first Friday Shop Hop. Over fifty independent businesses now populate the city center. To celebrate longtime patrons and welcome new guests, downtown businesses offer entertainment, hold unique events and offer specials during the first Friday Shop Hop. Guests are encouraged to meet friends and explore the new face of downtown Mansfield.

COVID-19 precautions: We will be following Franklin County Public Health Guidelines for safety measures in the 2020 Market. The complete document can be found on the website. We appreciate the public’s part to help us stay safe, this includes:
– Please do not come to the Market if you are sick! You must be free if fever (without fever reducing medication) for 48 hours prior to the start of the market. If you are experiencing respiratory symptoms such as persistent cough or shortness of breath, please allow at least 7 days without symptoms before coming to the Market
– We will have a supply of hand sanitizer at the welcome table, please sanitize your hands as you enter the market. Sanitzer will also be available at vendor tables throughout the Market
– Individuals who feel at risk or elderly individuals are asked to shop between 9am and 9:30am. Also, please check our website for vendors who accept pre-orders to shorten your time at the Market.
– Currently the market is not meant for social gathering. Please take your time to select your food and exit the market grounds. Also, consider minimizing the amount of family members coming to the market at one time.
– We ask that you maintain 6 feet of social distance between yourself and others while at the market.
– Please be aware of the one way foot traffic flow at the Market. There will be one exit and on entrance.
– In line with COVID-19 guidelines, please do not bring pets to the Market.
– In line with COVID-19 guidelines, masks are encouraged. Some individual vendors may mandate that customers wear masks while at their booth, please respect these requests.
– If you are not comfortable with the current COVID-19 guidelines but still want to shop the Market, we have a list of vendors who accept preorders on our website. Preordering is a way to quickly pop in and leave the market with less exposure to the public.

Please enjoy the market as much as possible during this time. If we all do our part to minimize risk we will be able to get back to our usual operation sooner! Thank you for your support!

With the support of Knox County Litter Prevention and Recycling, Kenyon college hosts regular electronic recycling days at the Gambier Community Center. The program diverts electronic waste from regional landfills and ensures recyclable aspects of electronic devices. Drop offs are on the first saturday of every month.

Prairie Peddler

We are very excited to host the 33rd annual Prairie Peddler event and the opportunity to support our local vendors. This unique shopping experience will feature over 200 individual shops and delicious food choices. We have partnered with the Richland Public Health department to implement the state guidelines for the COVID-19 pandemic. Our guests can help us keep everyone healthy and safe by doing the following:

  • If you feel sick, stay at home
  • Wear a mask at all times, except when eating
  • Observe social distancing six feet apart
  • Eat only in designated picnic areas
  • Please consider shopping in off-peak times, between 1 pm and 5 pm
To ensure the safety of our vendors and guests, here are the COVID-19 guidelines we will be enforcing at this year’s marketplace.
