Youth Fishing Day Event

Join the Licking Park District, the Granville Fishing Club, and the Land of Legend Fly Fishers for a Special Youth Fishing Day Event at Infirmary Mound Park!
Saturday April 25, 10am-1pm
This event follows an ODNR Rainbow Trout release. We are giving the kids the first go at them!

WHO: Children (under 18 years of age) FEE: FREE

WHAT: Learn knot tying, rigging, casting, fish identification, proper
fish handling, fish cleaning, and habitat from the Granville Fishing Club
and Land of Legend Fly Fishers. Bring your fishing pole,
bait & bucket or cooler filled with ice. Some poles will be
available for use on a first-come, first-served basis. Enjoy a
hot dog, a bag of chips, and water between casts, and be
prepared to have a great time. No experience is necessary.
Free Prize Raffle! Hopefully, our rainbow trout will be biting!
ONLY rainbow trout may be harvested from Mirror Lake.

No pre-registration required.

*We kindly request that adults not fish until AFTER 1:00 PM.
ONLY rainbow trout may be harvested from Mirror Lake.
All other species are Catch & Release.
Five trout max per day, per person harvest limit.
