Residents are raising concerns about a proposed 90-home subdivision on Croton Road as the village considers a zoning change that could clear the way for the development.
The 56.6-acre property was annexed by Centerburg in July and is currently zoned Estate Residential District. Knox-Licking Holdings Ltd. is seeking to rezone the property to Planned Development, which would allow Schlabach Builders to construct the 90-home subdivision.
Neighbors have expressed concerns about traffic, housing density and sewer capacity, along with questions about how the development could affect Croton Road and surrounding properties.
The proposal comes as Centerburg and other parts of Knox County continue to experience development pressure and growth.
The zoning request remains under consideration as village officials weigh the proposed development and concerns raised by nearby residents.
