Knox County Chamber to Honor Educators at Annual Back-to-School Breakfast

As another school year approaches, the Knox County Chamber of Commerce is preparing to recognize the educators who help shape the future of the community.

The Chamber will host its annual Educators’ Breakfast on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. in Foster Hall at Ariel Arena on the campus of Mount Vernon Nazarene University.

Held each year before students return to the classroom, the event welcomes educators who are new to Knox County schools while celebrating the dedication and service of veteran teachers from districts throughout the county.

The breakfast also provides an opportunity for local businesses, community leaders and residents to show their appreciation for the educators who invest in the next generation.

This year’s featured speaker will be Dr. John Berry, president of Central Ohio Technical College, who will share a message of encouragement and inspiration as teachers prepare for the upcoming school year.

The Chamber says the annual breakfast highlights the important partnership between education and the business community, recognizing the role teachers play in developing tomorrow’s workforce and community leaders.

Admission is free for new educators beginning their careers in Knox County. Veteran educators and community supporters may attend for $25 per person. The event is made possible through the support of Corporate Sponsor Kokosing Construction and Event Sponsor Buffalo Wild Wings.

Those planning to attend are encouraged to register by Friday, July 24. Chamber officials note that cancellations after the registration deadline and no-shows will be invoiced.

For additional information or to register, visit the Knox County Chamber of Commerce website or call 740-393-1111. The Chamber says everyone is invited to join in celebrating the educators who make a lasting impact on students and the Knox County community each year.
