the Ohio Brownfield Remediation Program. Short summaries of each grant can be found below. These

Delaware County Land Reutilization Corporation (Delaware County)
Project Name: 50 Channing Street Redevelopment

This project involves asbestos abatement, lead paint removal, and demolition of three structures at
the former Delaware County Engineersʼ property. The site will be redeveloped into 44 affordable rental
apartments and eight single-family homes, with sustainable features and public utilities installed. The
project will enhance community housing options and create new recreational spaces.
Knox County Land Reutilization Corporation (Knox County)
Project Name: Heartland Commerce Park

This comprehensive project focuses on the redevelopment of the 47-acre Heartland Commerce Park
industrial site. Activities include the demolition of the HCP Powerhouse, removal and remediation of
asbestos from six heavy manufacturing facilities, and demolition of aging manufacturing and shipping
buildings. These efforts will remove obsolete infrastructure and create a multi-tenant industrial park,
restoring jobs, attracting new manufacturing businesses, and creating 100 new positions.
Redevelopment plans include green space, parking, and enhanced accessibility, supporting economic
growth in Knox County.
Licking County Land Reutilization Corporation (Licking County)
Project Name: McPeek Lodge Park Site

This project involves the excavation and disposal of lead-contaminated soils from the McPeek Lodge
Park site, previously used as a shooting range. Following cleanup, the park will be redeveloped for
passive recreation and community events. The project will restore the park as a safe and accessible
public space.
Marion County Land Reutilization Corporation (Marion County)
Project Name: River Valley Schools Demolition
$500,000
Cleanup/Remediation
This project involves asbestos abatement and demolition of two former school buildings located on a
77-acre industrial site at the Marion Industrial Rail Park. The site was historically used as a U.S. Army
ordnance plant, later housing schools abandoned due to asbestos contamination. Following
remediation, the site will be marketed as a prime location for industrial development.

Project Name: Former GTE Building

Cleanup/Remediation
This project involves asbestos abatement and demolition of a dilapidated former industrial and
commercial structure. Located in an Opportunity Zone, the site is targeted for redevelopment to
address affordable housing shortages or a new fire station.
