Delaware County Expands Public Transit Services to Growing Communities

Delaware County, OH — Delaware County, the fastest-growing county in Ohio, is set to expand its public transportation services, making it easier for residents to get around. Delaware County Transit has announced that, beginning October 14th, it will extend its services to the areas of Berkshire, Galena, and Sunbury.

According to the Executive Director of Delaware County Transit, this expansion will provide a new transportation option for more than 7,000 residents. The move is part of an ongoing effort to accommodate the county’s rapidly growing population, ensuring that both current and new residents have access to convenient, reliable transit options.

“This service expansion is a critical step toward meeting the needs of our growing communities,” said the Executive Director in a social media post. “We’re excited to provide more access and mobility to people in these areas.”

The expansion comes as Delaware County continues to experience significant growth, with new housing developments and businesses attracting more people to the region. Local leaders have emphasized the importance of improving transportation infrastructure to keep pace with the population boom.

Residents in the newly served areas will now have easier access to key destinations within the county, including commercial hubs, schools, and healthcare facilities, thanks to this new transit option.
