Bomb Threat at Ohio Statehouse Deemed Not Credible

Columbus, OH – Emergency crews were dispatched to the Ohio Statehouse early Monday morning in response to a bomb threat, which was later determined to be non-credible. The Ohio State Highway Patrol immediately responded after receiving an email that allegedly described a bomb threat.

Bomb-sniffing dogs were brought in to sweep the premises, including the parking ramp beneath the Statehouse, which was closed during the investigation. After a thorough search, officials confirmed that no suspicious devices or items were found, and the parking ramp has since reopened.

Authorities are still working to uncover the contents of the threatening email and trace its origin. A source inside the Statehouse indicated that the email contained details about the alleged bomb, but no credible evidence has surfaced to support the claim.

While the situation was resolved without incident, the swift and precautionary measures taken by law enforcement ensured the safety of those in and around the Statehouse. Further updates will follow as more information becomes available.
