Mark your calendar and plan to join the City of Mount Vernon for its July 4th Celebration! The fireworks, expected to start around 10 p.m., will be preceded by a concert at the Ariel-Foundation Park Schnormeier Event Center, with opening acts beginning at 5:00pm and headliners Tom The Torpedoes taking the stage with the music of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers at 7:00 p.m.. A selection of food trucks will be onsite and beverages will be available for purchase inside the Schnormeier Event Center. This is a free event.
