The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art & Technology invites the community to experience an unforgettable summer evening at La Bella Vista: An Evening in the Garden, a Mediterranean-inspired fundraising event on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 6 PM in The Works’ LeFevre Courtyard.
Guests will be transported to Italy’s Amalfi Coast with Italian-inspired appetizers, drinks, and desserts, accompanied by live music from the Tom Carroll Trio. This year’s event celebrates connection and community impact, with proceeds supporting a new educational initiative that will provide transformative opportunities for students in Licking County.
“We’re excited to unveil this important new project that expands our commitment to youth development and education,” said Fred Boll, newly appointed Executive Director of The Works. “Our Summer Party is more than just a celebration, it’s an opportunity for guests to make a lasting difference for future generations.”
Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy interactive experiences that highlight the museum’s core pillars:
- Science: Learn the chemistry behind craft mocktails.
- Art: Watch artist Kathy Anderson create a live painting of Italy, with a chance to win it through a special raffle.
- History: Step into the past with a photo opportunity inside the historic Interurban Railway Car.
- Glass: Collaborate on a community glass fusing project, symbolizing the power of collective giving.
This casual, cocktail-style event is designed to encourage mingling and networking, with limited seating available.
