Minimum Requirements

Ages 18–39
U.S. Citizen
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Driver’s License
Ohio residency upon graduation
Arm tattoos permitted (must be covered by long-sleeve uniform)

Cadet Candidate Program (Ages 18–20)

Not yet 21? Start your law enforcement career early through the Cadet Candidate Program. This paid opportunity allows candidates to gain real-world experience while preparing for the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy.
