WQIO Ohio's Super Station
On November 2, 2023, at approximately 7:45 PM, the Licking County Sheriffs Office responded to the 200 block of Goosepond Road in Newark Township on a reported stabbing. Deputies located a victim at the residence with a stab wound. The victim was transported to a Columbus area hospital.
Licking County Sheriffs Detectives, through their investigation, developed a suspect and on November 8, 2023 arrested 24-year-old Tristan Hill of Newark for Felonious Assault.
Hill is being held in the Licking County Jail, Detectives are continuing the investigation to determine if others were complicit and a motive for the incident.
