Some of the world’s most exclusive automobiles will be on display in Mount Vernon this weekend as The Event 5 makes its debut at Ariel-Foundation Park, bringing together hundreds of automotive enthusiasts while raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The event, scheduled for Saturday, July 11, is considered one of Ohio’s premier automotive showcases, featuring an impressive collection of hypercars, supercars and exotic vehicles from across the region.
While the rare vehicles are expected to draw large crowds, organizers say the heart of the event is supporting children facing critical illnesses.
During the afternoon, several Make-A-Wish children will have the opportunity to ride as passengers in some of the world’s most elite exotic vehicles, creating memorable experiences for the children and their families while highlighting the organization’s mission of granting life-changing wishes.
To accommodate the event, the central portion of Ariel-Foundation Park will be reserved for ticket holders. The Norton Tower, Rastin Observation Tower, Schnormeier Event Center, Clock House, and adjacent parking areas will require paid admission during the event.
However, much of the park will remain open to the public. Visitors will continue to have free access to the lakes, the Meadows, and the Heart of Ohio Trail throughout the day.
Early Entry ticket holders will be admitted beginning at 10:30 a.m., providing 90 minutes of early access before general admission begins at noon. The showcase will continue until 4 p.m.
Children 12 years old and younger receive free admission but must be registered online in advance to receive an event wristband.
Because parking at Ariel-Foundation Park is limited, organizers will operate shuttle service to and from the event. Premier Parking passes are also available and include on-site parking and Early Entry admission.
The Event 5 is presented by The Wyler Collection and Esoteric Detail.
Tickets are available online through theeventohio.com, mvac.org, and arielfoundationpark.org. Organizers are also seeking additional vehicle exhibitors and corporate sponsors to help support Make-A-Wish and its mission of granting wishes for children with critical illnesses.
