This new opportunity starts this Saturday.  Meet at the BFEC Resource Center at 11:00 a.m. and look for Judith Crouse.  If you have any questions, you can contact Judith at  judithcrouse59@gmail.com.  Bring your own binoculars and field guide.  The BFEC has a few available for check-out if you do not have your own.
Anyone interested in birding can meet with group on the 4th Saturday of each month.  Outings will take place at different locations throughout the county.

Movie Night The Greatest Showman @ Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County

The Academy Award nominated film, “The Greatest Showman” (PG) will be featured at Free Movie Night on Wednesday, January 30, 6:30 p.m., at the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County, 201 N. Mulberry Street, Mount Vernon.

Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron and Michelle Williams star in this bold and original musical – inspired by the ambition and imagination of P.T. Barnum – celebrating the birth of show business and dreams coming to life. The film is loosely based on the life of P.T. Barnum who struggles to make ends meet before starting what became “the Greatest Show on Earth,” the Barnum and Bailey Circus.

Every year the Polar Plunge challenges thousands of jumpers throughout the state to take the plunge for Special Olympics Ohio! Be a part of the coolest event of the year and take the plunge, donate, spectate or volunteer!

Not brr-ave enough to take the daring dip? Don’t worry! You can still join in on all the fun! Register as “Too Chicken to Plunge” and still participate in all the thrills, just not the chills!

By registering for the Columbus Polar Plunge you’ll help in supporting more than 21,000 Special Olympics athletes in Ohio! Your donations and fundraising efforts will assist us in providing year-round sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Thank you for your support!
