Boil Advisory Issued for Part of Mansfield

The City of Mansfield has issued a boil advisory for residents along Paxford Place from South Trimble Road to South Linden Road.

The advisory was issued Thursday following emergency water-main repairs in the area.

The city had shut down water service along the affected portion of Paxford Place beginning September 23 while crews worked on the water main.

Mansfield officials say residents affected by the advisory should bring water intended for consumption to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, making ice or other purposes involving consumption.

The advisory follows the water service interruption and will remain in effect until the city determines that the water supply is safe through testing.

Residents in the affected area should continue following instructions from the Mansfield Water Repair Department regarding the advisory and restoration of normal service.
