WQIO Ohio's Super Station
The Knox County Community Health Center has received two new recognition badges from the federal Health Resources and Services Administration.
The center was awarded the Advancing Health Information Technology for Quality badge and the National Quality Leader–Behavioral Health badge.
The health information technology recognition highlights the center’s use of telehealth, online clinical information exchange, patient engagement technology and data collection related to patients’ health needs.
The behavioral health recognition reflects the center meeting or exceeding federal targets in areas including depression remission, depression screening with follow-up and screening, brief intervention and referral to treatment.
Project Director Anthony Bowersock said the recognition reflects the center’s focus on access to care, coordination between providers and patient well-being.
The center also received an HRSA Operational Site Visit badge earlier this year, confirming compliance with Health Center Program requirements.
The Knox County Community Health Center provides coordinated health services to residents, with HRSA programs specifically serving people who may be medically vulnerable or geographically isolated.
