Blues, Brews & Barbecue Festival Returns to Downtown Mount Vernon

Barbecue, blues music and community spirit will take over downtown Mount Vernon as the annual Blues, Brews & Barbecue Festival returns on Saturday, June 27.

The free festival runs from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. and will feature a barbecue competition, food trucks, local vendors and live music throughout the day.

This year’s entertainment lineup includes performances by The Shaun Booker Dammit Band, John Henry & The Rainmakers, and The Joint Rockers, bringing a full day of blues and classic rock to the downtown district.

Visitors can also enjoy Mount Vernon’s Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area while shopping local businesses and restaurants during the event.

Hosted by Knox Foodies, the festival has become one of downtown Mount Vernon’s premier summer attractions, drawing residents and visitors together while showcasing local food, music and small businesses.

Organizers encourage attendees to arrive early, explore downtown and support participating vendors throughout the day.
