Vermilya sets school steals record in Loudonville Girls Basketball Win

The Loudonville Lady Redbirds improved to 3-0 on the young season with a 70-36 win over Ashland Tuesday Night. Corri Vermilya had another monster game for the Lady Redbirds in the win, despite not playing the fourth quarter, Vermilya racked up 32 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steals. Corri now is the school’s career record holder for steals currently with 394. Mia Vermilya had 12 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 8 steals. Sophia Spangler 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals.

Loudonville led 45-20 at half, their defense only allowed double digit scoring in one quarter all night.

Loudonville Head Coach Tyler Bates: “I was pleased with our laser focus to start the game. I thought that the effort and physicality that the girls brought tonight was outstanding.”

Loudonville will host Mansfield Christian Saturday.
