NCAC selects Gaese as Athlete of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio — After helping the No. 17-ranked Owls start the season with a 2-0 record, Sebastian Gaese was tabbed by the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) as the men’s soccer Athlete of the Week.

Gaese racked up two goals and two assists over two wins for the Owls. The senior forward kept the pressure on the opponents as he put all three of his shot attempts on goal.

In Kenyon’s season-opening win over Ohio Northern University at home on Sep. 1, Gaese tallied five points thanks to two goals and an assist in the Owls’ 6-2 win, including the team’s first two goals.

The Frankfurt am Main, Germany native added an assist on Sam Carson’s game-winning goal in Kenyon’s 2-1 road victory over No. 16 John Carroll University, giving the Owls an undefeated start to the season and an early victory over a Top-25 opponent.

Up next, the No. 17 Owls play game two of a six-game road stretch as they take on Spalding University (KY) in Danville, Kentucky on Friday, Sep. 9, at 5:30 p.m. Fans can head to athletics.kenyon.edu/live to follow the action while Kenyon is away from home.
