Devil Dog game has a lot on the line tonight

Danville and East Knox face off in the Devil Dog game with a lot on the line. The Danville Blue Devils have never won the KMAC in football and will be trying to complete their first perfect regular season since 2015 when Danville lost in the State Semifinals. The Blue Devils offense is explosive having scored at least 52 points each of their last 4 games and have scored at least 50 points in all but three games this season. Led on offense by a dominate offensive line and many skill players Quarterback Walker Weckesser leads the bunch. Weckesser threw for 282 yards and three scores last week to up his total to 1,099 yards passing this year with 14 passing touchdowns, Weckesser has used his legs to rushing for 517 yards and another 11 touchdowns this year.

The East Knox Bulldogs come in winners of 5 of their last 6 games looking to take back a Devil Dog Trophy they owned from 2018 up until last year this following a dominate run that saw Danville win ever Devil Dog game from 1999-2017 except for an East Knox victory in 2005. In the process East Knox is looking to capture a share of the KMAC Title. The Bulldogs have a dynamic runner of their own in Blake Elliott. Elliott has run for 1,099 yards and 14 touchdowns. He has also collected 113 tackles on defense to go with 2 sacks and 9 tackles for loss. Aaron White has also rushed for 331 yards. The East Knox defense has been very good this year pitching 4 shutouts and allowing just 14.5 points per game. In addition to Elliott on defense Bryer Householder has been a force registering 10 sacks to go with 62 tackles and 12 tackles for loss. Friday would be a first in 2023 for the Bulldogs as of their 6 wins none of them has come against a team with a winning record.
