Vermilya makes State History in Loudonville win

Loudonville Girls Basketball crushed Lowellville 65-17

Loudonville is now 23-2 on the season and they will take on Mogadore in the District Finals at Norwayne at 1:00 on Saturday. This is our 4th District Finals appearance in 8 years. 

Corri Vermilya – 25 points, 17 rebounds, 2 assists, 6 steals 

Mya Vermilya – 17 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals

Sophia Spangler – 12 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals

Alesha Felix – 7 points, 5 rebounds 

With Corri’s 25 points tonight, she broke Loudonville’s school single-season points record. She is currently at 667 points on the season, breaking her own record of 664 from her sophomore year. 

Corri’s 17 rebounds Wednesday Night give her 1201 rebounds for her career – making her the only player in state history with 2300 points and 1200 rebounds. MaKayla Elmore, now at Clemson – scored 2214 points and grabbed 1125 rebounds and Kayla Linkous who played at Cedarville scored 2235 points and grabbed 1183 rebounds during their careers.
