Red Cross hosting volunteer open house events in the region through June

The Central & Southern Ohio Region of the American Red Cross is hosting a series of open
house events throughout the region in June to show the impact people can have when they volunteer, and how to get involved. Interested parties will have two in-person opportunities this month, while a virtual session is available for anyone unable to attend in person.
• Saturday, June 18 via virtual session – details will be provided after registration.
• Tuesday, June 21 at the American Red Cross office in Troy (1100 Wayne Street, Troy Ohio 45373) from
6 p.m.-8 p.m.
• Thursday, June 23 at the American Red Cross office in Chillicothe (181 N. Bridge Street, Chillicothe, Ohio
45601) from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
Volunteers carry out 90% of the humanitarian work of the American Red Cross. From helping people displaced by disasters, providing care and comfort to U.S. service members and veterans, and supporting area blood drive operations, volunteers make the Red Cross mission possible in these and many other ways. Join us for an opportunity to learn how you can be a part of the solution to some extraordinary challenges!
Central & Southern Ohio Region volunteers have collectively spent a staggering 4,695 days on a Disaster Relief Operation – here at home and across the country. Last year 137 volunteers from our region assisted those impacted by hurricanes, wildfires and other disasters across our country.
Whether you’re on summer break, in the prime of your career, or happily retired, the American Red Cross has a volunteer opportunity that is compatible with your schedule. Ages 13+ are eligible to volunteer. To register for any of these events please visit this website and register for a session
