TEMPE, Ariz. — With the release of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) NCAA Division III men’s preseason Top-40 Coaches Poll sponsored by Tennis-Point, the Kenyon College Owls learned Tuesday that their starting spot for the spring season would be at No. 23.
The Kenyon men got their 2023-24 season underway in the fall, hosting the annual Kenyon College Invitational and also participating in singles and doubles competitions in the ITA Central Region Championship and the Big Red Invitational.
Looking ahead, the Owls will open spring-season play with a scrimmage next week against University of Northwestern Ohio. The team’s first countable match will be at No. 1-ranked Case Western Reserve University on February 17.
One season ago, Kenyon posted a 14-10 record, was the runner-up in the North Coast Athletic Conference and closed out the season with a No. 23 national rank and a No. 6 regional rank. The Owls graduated five student-athletes from that team.
