New Gallery Exhibit At The Works: The Colors of Nature

The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art & Technology, will debut “The Colors of Nature,”
their newest art gallery exhibition from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 21. Explore the simplicity and complexity of the flowers and leaves that surround us through the eyes of Ohio artist, Pat Kresty.

The show includes a variety of flowers and leaves that beautifully transform once they are printed onto materials such as fabric and leather. Pat Kresty uses a combination of traditional eco dyeing/printing and self-developed techniques that capture the beauty of fresh flowers and leaves. Sugar Maples produce gold and brown tones while Red Maples transform into stunning blues, greens and teals.

“The Colors of Nature” exhibit opens in the Marcia W. Downes Art Gallery on Thursday, July 21, and will be on display through October 1, 2022. The Art Gallery is free and open to the public year-round during The Works’ regular hours of operation, Tuesday – Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please visit The Works’ website to confirm hours, see daily programs and more before planning a visit.
