City of Delaware residential refuse and recycling collections will take place on Monday, January 15, and collections for the week will on the regular schedule.
Refuse collection on the holiday is a change from previous years. The reason for the change is that “next day” collections extend the collection week to Saturday when the Delaware County Transfer Station, where all City trash is taken, has reduced hours. The station closes before we can complete that days route requiring garbage and recycling to be left on on our trucks over the weekend.
Most City offices will be closed on Jan. 15.
