Newark Division of Police announce Desk Officer Reporting System(DORS)

NEWARK, OHIO – The Newark Division of Police is proud to announce the new Desk Officer
Reporting System (DORS). DORS will be available to the citizens of Newark, Ohio that began August 10,

  1. DORS is an online reporting system where the citizens of Newark, Ohio will have the opportunity
    to file police reports without having to see an officer.

To file a police report with the Newark Division of Police, citizens simply need to access the division’s
website, www.newarkpd.com and click on the link, “File a Police Report.” From there, citizens will
select the incident type, answer a few questions, and then click “Submit.” A supervisor will review the
report and determine if the report needs to be assigned to an officer for follow up with the citizen.
Once approved by the supervisor, the citizen will be emailed a copy of the report.

There are over 20 incident types that may be reported. All incidents must be non-violent and not in
progress.
