St. Vincent Open House

St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School is excited to announce its upcoming Open House
event and registration for the 2025-2026 school year. Families are invited to tour the
school, meet experienced, caring teachers, and learn about the enriching education
rooted in Catholic values that St. Vincent School offers. This is an opportunity for
prospective families to explore the classroom spaces, experience the nurturing
environment, and discover how St. Vincent School integrates faith, academics, and
whole-child development in preparing children for a lifetime of learning and growth.
The Open House will be held on Sunday, January 26th from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at St.
Vincent de Paul School (206 East Chestnut Street in Mount Vernon).
“We are proud to offer a preschool through 8th grade experience that nurtures children
in a Christ-centered environment,” said Cecelia Pitt, St. Vincent’s Principal.
St. Vincent de Paul School’s focus on Catholic values offers a well-rounded education
that fosters a love for learning while developing faith, strong character, leadership skills,
and kindness. St. Vincent School offers a wide range of programs, activities, and
extracurriculars such as art, science fair, musical theater, sports, etc. St. Vincent de
Paul School welcomes both Catholic and non-Catholic students.
“My goal is to provide a play-based foundation for lifelong learning and a love of God,
and I look forward to welcoming new families to our school community,” said Leslie
Buehrer, Preschool Director at St. Vincent de Paul School.
Registration for the 2025-2026 school year will open to the public on February 3rd.
Open House attendees will receive special access to early registration on January 26th.
Interested families are encouraged to register early, as spaces are limited. Families may
tour the school outside of the Open House event by scheduling a private visit. Those
